Exciting Field Trip Destinations

At Nature Friends, we believe that real-world experiences in nature are essential for a child's growth and education. That's why we offer a variety of engaging field trip destinations that allow children to explore the natural world in a fun and meaningful way.

Past Field Trips

The Gila Catwalk

Our FREE overnight Gila Catwalk Trip was a breathtaking adventure filled with canyon hikes, campfire stories, and stargazing. Families left with lasting memories and a deeper connection to New Mexico’s wild beauty.

Copper Mine Tour

We stepped back in time to a local copper mine where children learned about the mining process, geology, and the impact of mining on the environment.

Lavender Farm

We visited Floren Family Farms in Tularosa, NM to learn about lavender. We watched bees at work, picked stems to make beautiful bouquets and enjoyed outdoor games in the field.

Three Rivers Petroglyph Site

While hiking on the 1-mile trail, we viewed the intricate rock art, while learning how the mysterious ancient symbols and figures, depicting wildlife, human forms, and geometric shapes, convey a rich narrative of early life and spirituality.

"Being a part of Nature Friends has been so great for my children to meet new friends that have the same interests that we do. We also get to spend time together enjoying nature and doing fun and exciting crafts."
